Fiksu Raises $10 Million
Fiksu, the mobile app marketing platform, has raised $10 million in funding to expand its user acquisition platform for apps. According to Fiksu, they have received a rise in demand for their services and, therefore, will expand globally to both Europe and Asia-Pacific.
We’ve been keeping up with Fiksu on a monthly basis as they release their reports containing indexes for iPhone app downloads and the cost per loyal users. Their App Store Competitive Index measures the daily volume of downloads of the top 200 free iPhone apps. And their Cost per Loyal User Index tracks the cost to obtain “loyal users” for apps (operationally defined as a user who opens an app three or more times).
In addition to their reports, Fiksu runs FreeMyApps, a website were users can earn free apps by trying out other apps. Sponsors of the website pay for their apps to be the free apps users try out, then FreeMyApps gives away the paid apps that users want for free.
Fiksu has raised $17.8 million to date, making this $10 million a significant milestone in its funding. Fiksu also plans to double the amount of its employees this year (they currently employ 100).
