$45,000 in Cash and Prizes at the Big Brand Hackathon
Developers in the San Francisco area this week should take a look at the Big Brand Hackathon, a program to connect developers, brands, and mobile technology. The hackathon is giving away over $45,000 in cash and prizes ($25,000 in cash and $20,000 in prizes). The event is touting itself as the first ever multi-brand hackathon. The two brands funding the event are Kraft and The Home Depot.
The hackathon will take place on June 16th and 17th at Madrone Studios in San Francisco. In addition to Kraft and The Home Depot, Nokia will also be awarding developers 50 of its popular Lumia phones to the developers that design the best Windows Phone apps.
Looking to get some on-air action? Bravo TV will be at the event filming for an upcoming reality show they’re set to air about Silicon Valley. Prizes, money, developers, and TV…this definitely sounds like the type of event to check out.

The Big Brand Hackathon is produced by Mobile {Dev} Sync with Social-Loco.
